FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: FairBuild AI Launches Gen2 Platform

FairBuild AI Launches Gen2 Platform, Delivering Advanced Contract Intelligence for Subcontractors and Suppliers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New release brings in-document redlining, prioritized issue ranking, and construction-specific AI to the businesses that need it most.

LAKE TAPPS, Wash., April 6, 2026 – FairBuild AI today announced the launch of Gen2, a major platform update that expands its contract review capabilities and adds features for construction subcontractors and material suppliers. The release marks a significant milestone for the company, which completed its leadership transition in March 2026 when founder Kendall Hoyd assumed the full-time CEO role.

Gen2 was built around a straightforward premise: subcontractors and suppliers shouldn’t need a lawyer just to understand the customer agreements they’re signing. The platform delivers customer contract review in minutes, with plain-language explanations of flagged clauses and clear alternative language, at a fraction of the cost of a third-party legal review or time-consuming management review.

“Subcontractors and suppliers often start losing profit margin on the project the minute they sign the customer’s form agreement,” said Hoyd. “Gen2 exists to give them clarity before they sign, so they can protect both their balance sheets and their margins.”

What’s New in Gen2

In-document redlining – Gen2 introduces in-document redlining where proposed changes appear directly inside the customer’s contract. Reviewed contracts are formatted professionally and ready to return to the customer quickly.

Issue ranking – FairBuild now features prioritized issue ranking, allowing users to surface and negotiate the contract clauses that matter most to their business. Whether the primary concerns are payment terms, indemnification, scheduling, insurance requirements, or retainage, users can configure their review, so the highest-priority risks rise to the top every time.

Role-based playbooks – Gen2 operates from two distinct playbooks, one for subcontracts and one for material supply agreements, reflecting the different risks each type of business faces. FairBuild’s AI is structured specifically to analyze construction customer contracts, allowing it to consistently catch the provisions that most commonly impact subcontractors and suppliers.

“Our leadership team is composed of industry-specific operational, legal, and financial leaders,” Hoyd added. “We’ve lived these contracts. We know what’s buried in them, and we built FairBuild.ai to make sure subcontractors and suppliers have the tools they need to level the playing field with their customers while still getting the deal done.”
